My co-pilot in life and adventures, like so many fantastic sidekicks, features many of the qualities that I lack. JJ is patient and methodical, and refrains from the giving of unsolicited advice. Although in happy times I see him as an Americanized bodhisattva, I lose track of this when he’s telling me things I don’t like to hear. Which is often, thanks to his calm outlook and ability to see outside of his current situation.
Happily, because of his penchant for super tiny houses and travel, he was amenable to “The Plan”!
